When We Die We Are Nothing More Than Worm Meat

I have something that has really been on my mind.  A bother if you get down to it.  Thing is I can't seem to shake it.

I cannot sort out what is more disgusting.  The fact that I am close to losing a toenail from not paying attention to length and long run training mileage or the fact of that little "flutter" I heard the other night during my real live nightmare of a $&%@'ing cockroach crawling across my head, were really its legs.

Apparently, cockroach legs make a clicking sound when they walk.

Ugh.

Hm. I think the cockroach is more disgusting! (Were you looking for votes?) The toenail is gross in a fascinating kind of way ("Eeeew - scabs!") but bugs... *Shudder*. Ugh.

I'm with AmyTree. The cockroach is much more disgusting! Though, I understand the grossness factor of the falling off toe-nail, there's something about cockroaches that just screams DISGUSTING to me.

I had a toenail fall off in November. It was very weird. I think I need new sneakers. Anyway, yeah that cockroach was probably more disgusting than your (or mine) fally off toenail.

Okay, now you're freakin' me out. I'm looking at my toenails right this minute!

I think I would focus on the toe nail - and finding where that little critter came from!

AmyTree: Each of them have their own level of disgusting-ness. When you think about them seperately. . . which I am not liking to do lately.

Jest: cockroaches are pretty nasty on the nasty scale. For serious! But losing my pretty, cute little toenail? So sad.

Em: (laughing) I'm glad I could be a service. You see, my pain is now or still your pain!

Alli: Ino! Yuck! Texas their huge arsed bugs! Blehck.

Ian: It's a weird, creepy feeling to have your toenail(s) fall off! I've had it happen before and mine never grew back right!

Suze: yep. It causes one to at least THINK about your toenails, if not look at them too!

Sid: you are correct on both accounts!

Fi: I love your "the glass is always half-full" disposition! It's a great way to be & I wish I was more like you!

Cheif Rock Chef: I am focusing waaaaaay too much on the toenail, apparently. I'll find out more this afternoon when I go get a pedicure. . . dum da dum dum! The vile creature came from our ground cover outside our bedroom! The bug guy is the one that clarified THIS type of cockroach lives there and it now makes perfect sense, but I'm not getting rid of the ground cover, it's cool looking! And(! ! !) he's the one that told me their legs "click" when they walk; that it wasn't a flutter. (shudder)

It looks cool but harbours cockroaches?

I'd be hiring a flame-thrower!

Rock Chef: They're everywhere in Texas. Everywhere. If I got rid of the ground cover, they'd come from the trees. If I get rid of the trees, they'd come from the water. It wouldn't matter. So many kinds of vile roaches in this state - and they don't DIE! They just keep coming. This was very hard to comprehend when I first moved here. . .
