Do You Ever Notice How Nervous You Get When A Big Black Car is Following You

I don't know how to put into words how anxious I am about today. . . .

30-minutes until I must face the piper and I'm slightly terrified. The husband says, "who cares" and "it'll be fine," but I'm about to hyperventilate. I'm completely responsible for this one and have no one else to blame if I fail miserably. Only myself. This is a very daunting thought for me.

And I'm not a nervous person.

Hahaha. I was wondering what this was all about.
How'd it go?

Surprisingly well . . . My trainer and I had set a goal for me to lose an 1-1/2" these past 4-weeks and I actually lost 2". This is not bad.

The thing that scared me is the fact that I've been working out at least 5 times a week (sometimes 7) and my body weight has stayed exactly the same since I began this hellacious workout regime in January. In total, I've lost loads of inches, but when you don't measure yourself that way and only get yourself on the scale, but see no weight change it's discouraging at best.

By my thirties my body just decreed that "Jen shall have no metabolism". I now have to watch what I eat (this is a new thing for me and very difficult; I mean, I love french fries - love 'em!) and workout (something I've always done, but decided to skip out on my 1st year of marriage which caused my resulting fat cells to rejoice - Alleluliah). 3-years later, I'm still trying to get the weight off.

That mantra is true. The older you get the harder it becomes.

Hell no, that's not the mantra, the mantra is, 'muscle is heavier than fat' therefore if you're working out and staying the same weight you're actually losing lots of fat and building muscle... or something!

Alex ---> I pray this exact same mantra every day to the Fat. . . errr. . . Muscle Gods that be.

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to that part of 30's. Hopefully everything else will make up for it. :)
