If You Can Hear Me, I Believe

I am not supine anymore and I also can move more than 50-feet away from the porcelain goddess. I also should not wear 5" stilettos to massage therapy school anymore, especially when playing Frogger across 6 lanes of road at 7:45 AM.

I'm just sayin'.

First day? How was it? Assuming you didn't get run over by a truck and/or sports car.

Five inch stilettos? Grrrl. Forget crossing the street, how did you WALK?

Women should do everything in 5" stilettos. ;-)

So how did the first day go?

Frogger and 5" stilettos doesn't sound like a good combination at all ;)

Glad you are back on your feet though!

Ian: First day was good! I don't have too much to say about it other than it started out with one other student and I. Yep, 2 students! About an hour or so later 2 more joined our group, so we have only the 4 of us. I'm okay with that - good education that way; however, we'll be needing massage models as a result.

Tomorrow is the first day of Anatomy and Physiology. I'm nervous for that. . .

Tink: I love stilettos! I do just about everything in them outside the home. It makes me even more Amazonian than I already am. Ha! But, moving fast is not one of them. No more "Stiletto Frogger" for me! For serious.

Jay: I full-heartedly believe that too! The first day was good. They got us started on techniques right away. I have homework that I need to go tackle as soon as I'm done with my 'homebloys' (as Tink would say). . .

r.e.h.: I'm on my feet, but still wary to stray too far from you know where. I was worried about class today, but I ended up okay. I'd rather be 100%, but I don't believe I'm contagious anymore. (***hope***)

I don't know why I always do this stuff to myself? Stilettos + 6 lanes of traffic = one dead stiletto clad Amazonian. Never again.

You are very brave!
Glad that first day is under your belt. can't wait to hear stories of the 'practice'...I'm guessing there will be live victims yes? ;)

YAH!!! Glad the first day went well. :) Minus the hurting footsies.

Yeah, wear comfy clothes to school! I lived in jeans & running shoes in PA school. (esp after I broke my foot).

Good lord - not a single volunteer. I volunteer ME ME ME PICK ME ME ME PICK MEME ME! I need a massage BAD. When should I fly out?

Glad your fist day was successful and you did not get flattened. I do love stilettos myself. But frogger is not good.

OH! And glad you are feeling better, too! :)

tt: mwahahahahahaaaa - live victims! Ha! You're funny! Yes, we are to use live one's & we start right away. Come on down.

Alli: We are supposed to wear scrubs on Monday's and Friday's (massage days), but I asked administration if I was to wear them today. Their reply, "no b/c it's the first day." I get to class and the teacher scolded me for not being in scrubs. Um. Okay. So, of course I told her what I just told you.

ETK: Ino, right? I'd be all over that one too! Lemme get my feet wet and then I'll announce when volunteers are needed. . .

Alli: thanks! My tummy is still grumbling pretty bad and I have the . . . still, but not as bad as this past weekend. Oh boy. At least my head no longer hurts and the zombies put my eyes back.

I love how you end so many posts with "I'm just sayin." It's awesome.

PS Hooray for higher education!

6 lanes in stilettos? You are totally insane. Has anyone ever told you that?

Jen said...

Em: It's good English, no?

Thanks! I'm really excited about school right now, but I feel a bit out of it lately - I finished 4 years of college 14 years ago. I'm trying to remember how to study!?

Rock Chef: I am. Fully and certified!

I didn't really know the precariousness of the situation until my arrival at school and then checking out the parking situation. Wish I could ride my bike, but it's off the freeways around here and too far.

Have you ever heard of the song...
'In these Shoes?' it is well worth you listening to.
Just sayin'
; )

If I were to wear another shoe other than Vans, Adidas or Docs it certainly wouldn't be stilettos.

It'd be roller skates.

I'm with Jay, women should do everything in 5 inch stilettos.

{pausing for thoughts of whimsy}

I'm glad you are feeling better too. :)

Pendullum: I have never heard of that song, but I looked up the lyrics and thought they were fantastic! I'll have to find it on iTunes.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you'll be back!

Butterfly Girl: Absolutely. Roller skates are the way to go. ***laughing*** but I have to admit I have Vans, Adidas and Doc Martins. I heart them all!

G-Man: I agree with you and Jay. Women can do and/or be anything in 5" stilettos! Thanks - I'm glad I'm feeling better too.

I would also be willing to volunteer for student massages. Just let me know! I'm super generous that way.

Dang it!! I missed saying "How was your first day?" like A WEEK AGO!!! Stupid business trip. Anyway, you were sick on your first day??? (The prayer didn't work because Brett Favre retired, you know. Don't ask. Just smile and nod.) I am soo sorry. And heels while you're sick? Jeebus. Your a queen of royal lineage.
