Put a Patch Over It

I got on the scale this morning. I looked at the husband. He looked back at me and then at the scale. We weigh the exact. same. weight.

He said, "it's because you ate pizza and beer last night. You're just bloated, honey."

Life is not fair.

Crikey. How many pizzas did you eat?

Apparently, not enough.

Besides, the husband is like my very own living breathing Skeletor. The dude quit dieting and lost EVEN more weight. He's a toothpick beanpole!

DO. YOU. KNOW. HOW. FRUSTRATING. THAT. IS. FOR. ME?

Um. No. No idea.

Men lose weight so easily when they put their minds to it. It's irritating.

I don't think I'll ever let my future, possibly non-existent, husband ever see the scale when I'm on it.

But, good for him for coming up with a better response this time than suggesting you trim down! THEY CAN LEARN!

Before I went for my run, I jumped on the scale just to spite it. I had lost a pound already. And, since I just ran 4-miles in 80-degree heat, that must've burned up another 10 pounds. Right?

I never even thought I'd have a scale. Now I'm somewhat of a fanatic now and then. Of course the husband kinda snuck up on me this morning. . . . the little brat.

And, uhhhh . . . he SWEARS he never said I needed to trim down. LIAR!

I am so proud of you for running. I definitely miss our days of running 3k - 10ks....and I so want to do another 1/2 marathon and maybe a full marathon again. Ever since I have been in school, I have BARELY ever run/work out. It's bad. I would be happy if I could run 3 miles right now. Hopefully when I am done with school I will be more motivated to get back in running again!!! Wanna do another 1/2 marathon sometime???? :)

Don't worry about the number on the scale...just use it as a monitor....go more on how ya feel. :)

Alli: it's been a long time since I've been a-runnin'. Long time. I was gungho back in October (ran almost every day approx. 3-mi.) and then all the sickness befell me up until about two-weeks ago. I couldn't do nothing till now.

I really, really, really, really wish I had a running buddy here. It's so hard - okay, really, it's boring - running by yourself. Even the iPod doesn't hack it after a while in the hot sun. I do miss our running/training we did together. Time well spent. That 1/2 marathon was pretty freakin' cool!

I have a goal. But only the husband knows about it. I don't want to announce it just yet . . .

Don't want to announce it yet? What else are blogs for but to bare all your secrets to the world.

I don't want to fail.

If I do and my 6 readers don't know about it, then no one's the smarter. If the 6 of you know about it and I fail, then I've failed miserably.

Misery shouldn't love company.

Nonsense. If everyone knows about it, then you have to succeed.
